About Annabel Venneker:
Annabel is a film maker and illustrator from the Netherlands. At the University of the Arts Utrecht she discovered a love for creating analog animation and developed a good sense of color. She graduated in 2021. She likes to tell stories that are close and personal. She also likes to experiment with analog printmaking, creating bold designs with thick lines.
Artist Statement:
"In my work I experiment a lot with color, texture and how they convey emotion. This paired with the subtle emotions you can create with small movements is why I love being an animator. In my drawings and films I like to cover topics like femininity and intimacy. I draw most of my inspiration from everyday life and my own experiences."
