About Jake Hellenberg:
Jake Hellenberg is an animator and illustrator from the Netherlands. Having always been passionate about drawing and telling stories, he made the decision to study animation and eventually graduated from HKU University of the Arts Utrecht in 2021. He enjoys creating art and films with elements of fantasy and folklore using expressive colours, details and textures. Aside from animation, he also likes to experiment with comics, music and 3D modeling.
Artist Statement:
"I love building worlds and stories to take a break from the everyday life. My work is largely inspired by folklore and nature, but also the peculiarities of people. Through the use of appealing colour schemes and detailed backgrounds, as well as humour, I aim to create fun, immersive films and stories."
